Job Overview This is a non-supervisory position in the Analytical
Development Laboratory responsible for maintaining laboratory
operations. The incumbent will utilize their technical expertise,
organizational skills and initiative to maintain day-to-day
laboratory functions. How will YOU create impact here at USP? As

quality standards. Additionally, USPs People and Culture division,
in partnership with the Equity Office, invests in leadership and

equitable management practices and tools to promote engaged,
collaborative, and results-driven work environments. The Laboratory
Technician has the following responsibilities: Working with staff
scientists, maintain lab consumables (solvents, reagents, etc.),
inventory and column (U/HPLC, GC, IC) check-in, disposal and
databases. Responsible for sample archival, sample tracking and
chemical inventory in the laboratory. Maintains laboratory
equipment list and software inventory. Prepare chemical solutions
and reagents in coordination with laboratory staff. Working with
USP Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), oversee laboratory waste
management and disposal. Coordinate with internal USP personnel
(CLO) and be a lab point of contact for instrument maintenance
scheduling, repair, new instrument installation and documentation.
Coordinate with USP Facilities on any work impacting the laboratory
and provide timely communication to staff scientists. Participates
in laboratory maintenance (clean-ups), safety walk-throughs and
assists with keeping the laboratory audit-ready. Who is USP Looking

They are selfmotivated, capable of working independently,
proficient with computer systems (including databases and Microsoft
Office), and able to apply past experience to new challenges.
Success in this role also requires strong interpersonal and
communication skills, along with the flexibility to thrive in a
fastpaced environment. Associate degree and at least 6 years of
experience in a laboratory or production setting, or; Bachelors
degree. In select cases, a combination of specialized training or
notable scientific achievements may substitute for required
experience. Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory operations,
preferably within an analytical or pharmaceutical environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Additional Desired
Preferences Previous hands-on laboratory experience, solution prep,
disposal. Ability to manipulate, lift and move equipment, reagents
and lab materials may be necessary. Supervisory Responsibilities

Hourly Range: USD $29.54 $36.87 per hour. Target Annual Bonus: %
Varies based on level of role. Individual compensation packages are
based on various factors unique to each candidates skill set,
experience, qualifications, equity, and other job-related reasons.
