We are excited to be growing and have an immediate need for an Electrical Estimator in Northern Virginia.
Essential Functions:

• Travels and attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings as needed
  
• Organizes Electronic Files
  
• Communicates any missing information or deficiencies to our clients to ensure that we have all information that was intendent and required to complete accurate cost proposal.
  
• Determines total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction.
  
• Research construction documents and analyzes specifications.
  
• Reviews RFPs/Design Docs and prepares RFIs as needed.
  
• Coordinates scope requirements with subcontractors and vendors.
  
• Prepares estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.
  
• Manges pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions
  
• Prepares estimates to meet project goals.
  
• Creates the project BOM (Bill of Materials) for the estimate and submits for pricing.
  
• Ensures that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline.
  
• Notes all assumptions, clarifications and exclusions for incorporation into proposal.
  
• Attends bid review meetings and be fully prepared to discuss the details of your portion of the scope.
  
• Regularly reports to Management and keeps clients updated on the project status.
  
• Formulates contingency plans and effectively manages risks that might impact cost and time estimates.
  
• Collaborates with other teams and conducts site visits.
  
• Assists with project management tasks as needed.
  
• Maintains an elevated level of professionalism with clients, vendors, and colleagues; works to establish a positive working relationship.
  
• Provides timely and completed documentation of work performed.
  
• Attends weekly preconstruction meetings with entire team.
  
• Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment.
  
  Required Education and Experience:
  
  
• Bachelors degree and/or equivalent education and experience.
  
• 7+ years of Estimating experience.
  
  Preferred Education and Experience:
  
  
• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Applied Science or Architecture field.
  
• 7+ years of Electrical/Mechanical Estimating Experience.
