tomorrow's infrastructure landscape.About the roleWe are currently
hiring a Senior Inspector with a NICET Level II certification to
support transportation and infrastructure projects in Region 8,
covering Westchester and Putnam Counties. The ideal candidate will
have a strong background in construction inspection, materials
testing, and documentation on heavy civil or transportation
projects.What you'll do
- Interpret and apply construction drawings, specifications, and
contract documents to ensure compliance with agency standards.
- Conduct field inspections and monitor contractor activities to
verify quality of work and adherence to project requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive daily inspection reports, including
progress updates, field observations, and relevant metrics.
- Calculate and verify construction quantities for payment and
change orders.
- Perform field testing and sampling of construction materials
(e.g., concrete, asphalt, soil) in accordance with applicable
procedures.
- Maintain organized and accurate field documentation, logs, and
photographic records.
- Utilize systems such as SiteManager for reporting and data
entry.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and agency
representatives to resolve field issues and support project
delivery.Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor's
degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related
field is strongly preferred.
- NICET Level II Certification in Transportation/Highway
Construction or equivalent field is required .
- Additional certifications such as ACI (American Concrete
Institute), NYSDOT Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC), or OSHA 10/30
are a plus.
- Proven experience in field inspection for civil, highway, or
infrastructure construction projects.
- Familiarity with NYSDOT policies, procedures, and construction
standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and report-writing
skills.
- Proficiency with relevant software, including NYSDOT
SiteManager.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Join us as

for this role in the New York City Metropolitan Area is $55 - $65
per hour.The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is
determined by various factors such as experience, skill level,
location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the
