Overview: GovCIO is currently hiring for an Application Developer with an active Secret clearance to design, build, and modify application software. This position will be located in Merrifield, VA and will be a hybrid position. Responsibilities: Design, build, and modify application software using a variety of programming languages, including Java, ColdFusion, JavaScript, and C#. Implement multiple design patterns such as MVC, web services, SOA, and/or microservices. Integrate COTS products, use APIs, interact with data repositories, and manage system interfaces. Manage legacy code and/or develop new code using container technologies such as Kubernetes. Develop and execute unit tests to verify code meets functional requirements. Identify applicable secure coding techniques to harden code. Check the code daily. Resolve integration issues, vulnerabilities, and functional defects. Minimize technical debt by applying coding standards and best practices. Work closely with Systems Analysts to build or modify software to meet the organization's business needs. Ensure all code conforms to government system security requirements. Posted Pay Range The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors. Posted Salary Range: USD $115,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
