Job Description:
Genworth Financial, Inc., a leader in insurance products that
secure the financial lives and futures of our clients, is seeking a
Data Analyst to enhance our data-driven decision-making processes.
This role involves extracting, managing, and analyzing data to
influence strategic planning within our core product spaces such as
long-term care insurance, mortgage insurance, and annuity
retirement solutions. As a Data Analyst, you will leverage
statistical techniques and AI methodologies to provide insights
that will shape our approach to market challenges and
opportunities. Gather and process raw data at scale (including
writing scripts, calling APIs, writing SQL queries, etc.). Conduct
analyses to make business recommendations (e.g., cost-benefit,
forecasting, experiment analysis). Develop and implement databases
and data collection systems for knowledge collection. Identify,
analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and
report to relevant stakeholders. Work directly with management and
other business units to prioritize business and information needs.
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities. Present
findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences.
Advanced proficiency with SQL and experience in using statistical
computer languages (R, Python, etc.) to manipulate data and draw
insights from large data sets. Experience with data visualization
tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI). Excellent analytical and
problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
and manage multiple projects with attention to detail. Strong
verbal and written communication skills. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in
Data Analytics, Big Data, or related field is preferred.
Certification in Microsoft Power BI or Tableau is beneficial.
