Job Description:
This team is responsible for maintaining security, reliability
and high-availability of our Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), along
with other identity, authentication, and authorization services. We
are responsible for recommending key initiatives and strategies to
secure our environment and design, develop and deploy critical
technologies As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be developing,
maintaining, and enhancing systems for our PKI environment. The
roles primary goal is to increase security, functionality, and
efficiency of the infrastructure environment while decreasing costs
and downtime. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible
for: • Providing ongoing engineering and Tier 3 support, acting as
an escalation point for operations and support issues • Designing
and implementing PKI services aligned with business needs,
supporting performance optimization, monitoring, issue resolution,
upgrade execution, and process development with clear documentation
• Ensuring PKI solutions are adequately tested and integrated with
infrastructure and application services • Developing, implementing,
and maintaining policies, procedures, and training plans for PKI
services and their appropriate use • Assisting in the development
of PKI strategy that aligns with Akamais business objectives •
Remaining knowledgeable of trends and advancements in IT,
especially PKI Do what you love To be successful in this role you
will: • Be a self-starter and obtain the appropriate knowledge to
complete tasks through available documentation and Internet posts •
Have 8 years total experience in IT, with 4 years advanced
experience with PKI • Demonstrate ability to effectively explain
complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical
staff including executives • Possess experience with documentation
and change management • Have experience with Microsoft Active
Directory Certificate Services (ADCS), CyberArk Certificate Manager
(formerly Venafi), or similar technologies FlexBase, Akamais Global
