Sr. Global IT Category Manager is an individual contributor role
reporting to the Global IT Category Director. This role will be
responsible for category management and strategy for IT products
and services, across our global enterprise.Responsibilities
include:
- Global IT Category Management & Strategy for IT (software/cloud
services, hardware, telecommunications, and professional services):
- Engage cross-functional and business teams in IT category
management;
- Use a wide range of tools to analyze the IT category (spend,
market intelligence, supplier analysis, etc.);
- Assist in developing global IT category strategies to minimize
risk, leverage spend, support business initiatives and prepare for
future technologies;
- Execute global IT category sourcing strategy in line with
company processes, including supplier due diligence, capability and
risk assessments, requirements collection, Request for Proposal
(RFP) creation/issuance, supplier proposal analysis, negotiations,
business case development, redline contract terms and produce
required sourcing project documentation;
- Guide stakeholders through the various internal
reviews/governance processes;
- Support and advise stakeholders in the creation of supplier
Statements of Work (SOWs) for professional/implementation services
to ensure they include all necessary requirements, payment
milestones, detailed deliverables, and other risk mitigations and
considerations to ensure a successful engagement;
- Serve as a point of escalation for issues related to supplier
performance (review and assess progress and compliance to
contract);
- With guidance from global Legal teams, negotiate IT supplier
contracts (e.g. Enterprise Agreements, End User License Agreements,
Master Services Agreements, XaaS Agreements, and Statements of
Work) on BAE Systems or supplier paper.
- Collaboratively work with the required Legal, Finance,
Insurance/Risk, Data Privacy, Business, IT and other stakeholders
to agree on the contract terms with the supplier. Seek Legal and
leadership approval for any onerous terms and conditions;
- Professionally communicate with global senior leaders verbally
and in writing on the status of the IT category strategy, specific
supplier deals, any new/emerging risks, and savings targets and/or
cost avoidance projections;
- Own, track and deliver on IT Procurement metrics and
objectives
- IT Operational Support:
- Coordinate with global businesses and finance stakeholders on
funding for enterprise procurements;
- Document procurement files in accordance with policies and
procedures to demonstrate competent consideration has been given to
all factors essential to effective and economical procurement;
- Follow Procurement policies and procedures.Required Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related Procurement
experience;
- Strong Knowledge of IT products, services and key
suppliers;
- Experience negotiating large, complex agreements with IT
suppliers;
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing
skills;
- Excellent business acumen with extensive negotiation
skills;
- Sound commercial/contracting knowledge to enable effective
contracting with suppliers and working with Legal on terms and
conditions;
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate
complex issues and make informed critical business decisions;
- Understanding of business processes and drive to help improve
current ways of working to increase efficiency, implement best
practices and drive collaboration;
- Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple
tasks simultaneously;
- Prioritizes work to accomplish objectives;
- Capability to work independently and as part of a larger
team;
- Highly developed relationship building, networking capability
with the ability to engage, communicate, negotiate and influence,
at various levels (both internally and externally).Pay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $124080 - $210980Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
