Backend Software Engineer
Chantilly, VA
Salary: $195,000 Primary Responsibilities: --- Engage actively in all aspects of Lean Agile methodology, including scrums, sprints, and backlog refinement sessions--- Liaise for effective resolution of issues, scheduling tasks, introducing new resources, and clarifying task details--- Collaborate closely with a diverse team of in-house staff and external contractors--- Develop a robust understanding of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure--- Facilitate coordination and cooperation across various departments including security, operations, engineering, testing, etc., to provide essential system insights and technical assistance--- Contribute to the design, development, and modification of software systems--- Maintain and update documentation on vendor software trajectories, including software upgrades and patch releases--- Conduct unit testing of software, participate in code reviews, and ensure quality assurance--- Adapt and integrate commercial software solutions into cloud-based environmentsRequired Qualifications and Experience: --- Citizenship Requirement: Applicant must be a U.SCitizen--- Security Clearance: Must possess an active Top Secret SCI clearance with Polygraph--- Proven background in Lean Agile Development practices--- Demonstrable experience in developing detailed designs and corresponding deliverables--- Skill in translating both customer and system requirements into actionable design--- Proficiency in designing system interfaces--- Experience in creating Single Page Applications using HTML5, CSS3, and Angular 2 or higher--- Expertise in developing RESTful web services utilizing Java 8+, Spring Framework 4+, or Spring Security 4+--- Proficiency in Internet and Web-related protocols and technologies, including Tomcat, Nodejs, Web Services, and SSL--- Experience in creating JUnit and Jasmine tests--- Familiarity with testing platforms like Jest or Karma--- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Nexus--- Experience with enterprise search technologies, especially Lucidworks Fusion 4.2.6 or newerDesirable Skills: --- Experience in developing accessibility standards--- Recent experience with the Sponsor's Lean Agile methodology and ErDoS for sprint MVI burn-up and top line charts, including MVI features and user stories--- Familiarity with FLSS, NES, and Lucidworks Fusion 4.2.6 or higher ,
