Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Washington, DC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,058 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/4/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Washington, Washington DC, 20007! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required License: Must have appropriate state license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - IMC/Stepdown experience required - Must pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms - Float required - Every other weekend required - Travel experience required Description: This Registered Nurse will assume the care of admitted patients with varying diagnoses. Patients will be boarding in the emergency department while awaiting bed placement on an inpatient unit. The role requires management of patients along with the associated responsibilities. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Patients may present with diagnoses related to neurology/stroke, orthopedics, oncology, transplant, end-stage liver disease, end-stage kidney disease, or gastroenterology. The nurse is expected to demonstrate skills in cardiac telemetry, telemetry monitoring, central line care, management of cardiac drips, wound care, and more.
