MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare organization in the DMV area, is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Operator/MS Transport EMT Driver to join our committed Emergency Management Services team. As a pivotal part of our emergency operations, the individual in this role will ensure the safe and efficient transportation of patients in various states of medical urgency, aligning their expertise with MedStar's mission of patient-first healthcare. This role requires rigorous adherence to safety protocols and a deep knowledge of emergency medical procedures. Operate emergency vehicles under varying conditions to safely transport patients to medical facilities. Maintain communication with dispatch and healthcare teams to report on patient status. Adhere to local, state, and federal driving laws and health regulations. Perform basic and advanced life support techniques and patient care before and during transportation. Inspect and maintain emergency vehicles and medical equipment to ensure operational readiness. Document transport logs and patient care reports comprehensively and accurately. Proficiency in driving emergency vehicles safely and efficiently Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-pressure situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid state EMT Certification CPR Certified Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) Certification
