Job Description:
Genesis HealthCare, a leader in medical services for both
long-term and short-term patients, is seeking a dedicated Licensed
Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our compassionate team. The role
involves providing high-quality nursing care in accordance with our
patients' individualized health care plans. This position requires
an individual who can efficiently administer medications, assist
with patient comfort, and maintain accurate health records while
adhering to all safety standards. The ideal candidate will be a
patient and caring professional with excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or
disabled patients within a long-term care setting. Monitor and
report changes in patient symptoms or behavior to supervising
registered nurse or doctor. Maintain accurate patient medical
records and report any discrepancies to the healthcare team. Ensure
the health and comfort of patients by assisting with daily living
needs such as bathing, dressing, and toileting. Educate patients
and their families on proper home health care strategies and
procedures. Proficient in administering medications and treatments
as prescribed Strong observational skills to detect health issues.
Adept at using medical software for patient documentation Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with patients
and their families Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid state Licensed Practical Nurse
(LPN) license required CPR Certification Basic Life Support
Certification preferable
