Job Description:

This role is pivotal in both our facility-based and home-based services, providing expert care and rehabilitation for patients with communication and swallowing disorders. Evaluate patient speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities to identify areas of difficulty. Develop and implement targeted treatment plans to address patient-specific concerns and goals. Educate patients and families about communication and swallowing strategies that meet their specific needs. Record, maintain, and update patient treatment plans and progress. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide coordinated, patient-centered care. Adhere to professional standards and comply with federal, state, and local requirements as well as the policies of Encompass Health. Expertise in diagnostic and treatment procedures for speech and swallowing disorders Ability to tailor treatment plans to individual patient needs and progress Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in electronic health record systems Capability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current state licensure as a Speech Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
