Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1
year of experience and BLS plus Nuclear Medicine certification for
a 13-week assignment. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a
short-term acute care hospital with a Trauma II designation - Unit
specializes in Nuclear Medicine procedures for adult inpatients and
outpatients, including emergencies and adult ICU cases - Daily
caseload averages 5 cases - Shift is Monday-Wednesday, 6:30 AM to
7:00 PM, with on-call coverage Monday-Wednesday, 7:00 PM to 6:30
AM, plus two to three weekends of call per month and holiday
coverage - No floating to other units or facilities is required -
Uses Epic EMR and GE nuclear medicine equipment - Scrub color is
Caribbean blue - Duties include performing a range of nuclear
medicine procedures and maintaining IV access as needed -
First-time travelers accepted - Holiday coverage is required -
Block scheduling and RTO requests considered at manager’s
discretion - Return staff must have a 1-year gap before returning
as travelers - Up to 8 hours of orientation modules must be
completed within 1 week of signing - Travel pairs are not permitted
/n /n Requirements/n - Minimum 1 year of recent experience in
outpatient, inpatient, ER, and adult ICU settings - Current BLS
required - CNMT or ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) certification or
registry eligible at time of hire (registry must be passed within
one year if eligible) - NMTCB or ARRT Advanced Certification
preferred - IV start skills and experience with bone, brain, lung
scans, gastric emptying, hepatobiliary, thyroid studies, tumor
localization, and shunt procedures - Experience with PACS and GE
equipment preferred - Experience working in a trauma hospital
setting - Valid state license required if applicable /n Benefits/n
