TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Arlington, Virginia, 22205! Pay Information $2,423 per week About The Position Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year License: Active VA or Compact License Certifications: ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Circulating skillset Description: We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. The work schedule consists of three night shifts per week. Every other weekend work is required. This facility handles high-risk labor and delivery cases. The unit has 16 labor rooms, 6 triage rooms, 6 antepartum rooms, and 3 operating rooms. There is a level 3 NICU available at the facility. The unit sees all obstetric patients over 20 weeks. Common patient issues include preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, preterm premature rupture of membranes, multiples, fetal anomalies, and cardiac defects in mothers or babies. An operating room team is present during the day for scheduled C-sections and most add-on cases. There is 24/7 in-house anesthesia support. External cephalic versions are performed during the day. The average daily census is around 15 patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. No on-call duties are required. Medication management is conducted through an automated system. Documentation is managed with specific electronic health record systems. Communication follows a standardized protocol. First-time travelers are welcome. Scrubs are provided by the facility. Flu vaccine is mandatory during the flu season. Medical or religious exemptions are permitted based on guidelines. All candidates must meet specific vaccination requirements. This is a smoke/nicotine-free facility. Travelers may only apply to one job at a time. Previous staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler. Minimum requests for time off are encouraged. Any time-off requests must be included in the initial submission. Travelers should expect to work some holidays. Approval for time off is at the manager's discretion. Proof of an active license is required at the time of submission. Candidates with pending licenses will not be considered. Floating may be required based on facility policies. Additional training modules may be necessary.
