GI Psychology is expanding our team of mental health professionals dedicated to providing effective and individualized behavioral health care for complex medical conditions. Our team consists of highly skilled Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) clinicians that receive internal and external specialty training in facilitating relief for GI disorders and other medical conditions. Our practice offers a collegial, supportive environment with a steady flow of referrals from area physicians and GI specialists. This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving self-pay psychotherapy practice as an hourly W2 employee, with options for full-time and part-time positions. This position includes benefits, including performance bonuses, continuing education reimbursement, IRA matching, training, consultation, and liberal time-off policies. We are also open to adding additional benefits as needs arise and the business expands. We are looking for a reliable and organized clinician who has interpersonal strengths that facilitate client rapport building and effective teams. A good fit would be a clinician who has strong experience using CBT, knowledge of the intersection between psychological and physical health, and is eager to learn and engage in professional development. Clinicians interested in opportunities for leadership and program development are also encouraged to apply. Qualifications: -- LCP, LMFT, LCSW, LPC (VA, MD, and/or DC license). Post-doc with Health Psychology background will be considered; Hourly raise for PSYPACT credentialing -- Experience and interest in working with children and/or adolescents -- Advanced training in CBT and/or Clinical Hypnosis -- Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours a week (6+ hours of evening/weekend hours) -- Interest in working in a growing health psychology sub-field (psychogastroenterology) and routinely collaborating with interdisciplinary providers -- Interest in ongoing clinical consultation, training, and use of empirically supported treatments -- Skills and knowledge to facilitate telehealth via video platform AND the ability to work in Burke, VA once Practice returns to in-office services Responsibilities include: -- Providing individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults -- Becoming fully trained in research-backed treatments for GI disorders and chronic pain -- Participate in weekly consultation meetings and internal paid training, as needed -- Utilize Simple Practice (EHR) to maintain timely record keeping and verify autopay; you are not responsible for collecting direct payments -- Attend bi-weekly staff meeting with Practice Director -- Collaborate with Clinical Director as well as clients' other health providers regarding care coordination The practice will provide: -- Furnished office space with access to client waiting area, restroom, and elevator as well as ample parking; 5 minutes off I-495 Braddock Rd. -- Malpractice and general liability insurance coverage -- Paid admin time for training, consultation, and meetings -- Administrative support, including initial screening, scheduling of clients, initiating paperwork, and billing processes. -- Business phone number, fax, and Google Workspace -- Access to copier, printer, office supplies, and wi-fi internet -- Marketing with area and national specialists and referring providers, educational pamphlets, and website feature -- Payroll administration. Clinicians will be considered an employee and will be paid every other week. Practice will pay all payroll-associated taxes and will administer a W2 at the end of each year. This is different than most private practices, where clinicians are considered independent contractors and must file quarterly estimated tax payments. -- Retirement IRA account and matching for employees after 1 year -- Annual $1000 Continuing education reimbursement -- Increased compensation for clinicians licensed in 6+ states (or with PSYPACT) Benefits: -- Flexible schedule & Up to five weeks off each year -- Performance bonuses -- Continuing Education reimbursement -- Access to group and ASCH consultation and additional in-house training -- IRA Matching (after one year) Next Steps: We will review applications on a rolling basis.
