Job Description Job Description The Hotel Staff Accountant
manages daily financial operations, including accounts
payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing,
to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry
standards (USALI). They support month-end closings, financial
analysis, and budgeting. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of hotel
PMS systems are essential. Compensation: $20 - $23 hourly
Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and
monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and
balance sheets. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor
payments, process invoices, and reconcile city ledger/group
billings. Daily Reconciliation: Reconcile daily hotel revenue from
front office, food & beverage, and other departments. Month-End
Closing: Assist in closing books, preparing journal entries, and
reconciling bank accounts. Budgeting & Forecasting: Support
management with data for budgeting, forecasting, and expense
tracking. Compliance: Maintain internal controls and ensure
compliance with VAT/tax regulations. Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience: Previous experience in hotel accounting or hospitality
industry strongly preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in
accounting software (e.g., M3, Oracle, Sage) and MS Excel.
Knowledge: Understanding of USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for
the Lodging Industry). Skills: Strong attention to detail,
organization, and communication skills. About Company Discover
